Aesthetic heaven for those who appreciate beautifully designed things, art & decoration.
Located in the Louvre’s Rohan and Marsian wings, Musee des Arts Decoratifs is a luxurious gem among other museums in Paris. This is the only place in France where you can find such a broad collection of the decorative arts from the Middle Ages to the present day including fashion, furniture, jewelry, toys or even a reconstruction of a private apartment of Jeanne Lanvin! It also knocks out temporary exhibitions which are basically tributes to iconic designs and designers (such as exhibitions dedicated to the Barbie or Christian Dior).
You will leave the place with a higher appreciation for the design industry and you will be able to notice an artistic influence over the aesthetic of the future.
